Birdhouse

A wood birdhouse sitting on the shelf. It has been sitting there for years. A box full of old jewelry in really bad shape and not really good enough for most art projects. The really bad stuff! I can not throw anything a way because I might just use it someday. Today was the day it would finally be used and it turned out better than I thought considering the junk that was used.

Wow Kim, you have just created a faerie house! I love it! What a great way to use up old jewelry (and I have tons of bits and pieces of baubles). Beautiful!

Well now, look what you have gone and done Missy! Classing up the neighborhood again. I was in my yard and heard some birds thinking about flying SE as they had heard about you and your fancy digs.LOL. I love it. I've made many birdhouses and kept a record of where they ended up. From Alaska to Texas, all over the East & West coast. It is great fun. I'll try to post some pics for you. But no jeweled ones....yet. Sharon

That is wildly beautiful! What did you use to embed your treasure?

Beautiful! And I am happy that you found a use for the "reject" jewelry. I'm a sucker for stuff like that...is it ridiculous that I feel a little sad for ugly junk that nobody wants??? :)

Let's just say that my hubby is not happy with my ability to find that inanimate objects have feelings! ;)

I so enjoy your blog!

I love this piece. It is so fascinating. So many neat things to see embedded in it. I thought one side looked Victorian and another Beachy. Awesome, thanks for sharing. Oh and thanks for following me on twitter.
