Folk Art Whimsy

One of my New Years resolutions is to be up and working in the studio by 6:00 am. I am up at that time, but it takes two cups of coffee before I am up and moving around and that means I do not get into the studio until around 8:00. I am a morning person and with that in mind, I need to take advantage of the morning hours. I needed a little whimsy to begin the new year so I made this little fairy and she also has eight sisters who will be joining her if I can just keep up with my early morning resolution.

Wow Kim, she is awesome! Did she take you long to make?
I think it is wonderful to be able to make your own whimsical dolls.
Can't wait to see the others you come up with.

Hey Kim
Love the doll, is she paper clay?
I also like the way you stash your paint, what a great idea!
talk and see you soon

She's a doll. I love the way she flits around your studio! Susan

She's a cutie! I have been making some dolls for a gallery show. They are similar to the first one I showed you with all the shells. These are fairies and they are made from air dried clay. I love working with that stuff. I'll post them before they go the show. This is a not for sale show. I feel better about that. HA HA

Hi Kim
Glad to hear your are ok and your dog is too!
Missed you, we had a full room, everyone was at the meeting, a bunch of us went down to the beach and had lunch. Most of the club is taking a Gloria Winer class at the end of the month, I'm busy with the new sea tow franchise we are buying, oh no, a job!!!
But I still get to make dolls, cause I get to stay at home and work. Hey, I made the last Peek page of the Lastest issue of Soft Doll & Animals, finally I've been sending pictures for five years!
Talk to you soon

Up and WORKING by 6 am. It boggles the mind of this night owl. I would have only gone to bed a few hours before that!
